After 41 years of service in public education, Dr. Emory is happily retired. She served 25 years as a district superintendent in Ohio and North Carolina. Upon leaving the Superintendent position in Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools in 2019, she became the Deputy State Superintendent for North Carolina at the Department of Public Instruction. Dr. Emory has served as a teacher, principal, Public Information Officer, Professor and in retirement is coaching both current and aspiring administrators.
