Congratulations, You’ve Been Accepted – Now What?
Getting Started
To secure your place and take the next step, we ask that you submit an enrollment deposit. This deposit is credited to your first semester tuition. To complete this step:
Login to the application portal to accept your offer.
Submit your non-refundable deposit.
There are a number of options to make funding your education as simple as possible, including scholarships, payment plans, and/or federal and private loan programs. From estimating your costs to navigating the process, we’ll support you every step of the way.
Once we receive your enrollment deposit, you should receive an email from help@wfu.edu to the email address provided on your admissions application. Follow the instructions provided in the email to activate your WFU Account. Be sure to enable Google 2-Step Verification within 30 days of activating your WFU Account.
All new students are required to complete Onboarding in Workday (note: this is separate from new student orientation). To do this, you must submit your enrollment deposit to be able to complete Onboarding Tasks and set up your DEAC Credentials.
When you log into your email, click on the Google Apps icon in the upper right near the settings gear. Scroll down until you see the blue icon for Workday. Click on the icon and you will enter your Workday dashboard. Your Onboarding tasks should appear under “Awaiting Your Actions” or by clicking on the Tasks icon in the upper right corner.
You’ll register for classes via Self Service in Workday. You will need your DEAC Credentials to login, then you can view courses and make changes during the add/drop period. Workday Student can be accessed through one.wfu.edu. Review the SPS Academic Calendar for dates when registration opens for each term.
Not sure which classes to take? Contact your Student Success Manager for support.
SPS Orientation is a required online asynchronous course within the Canvas system that must be completed before the start of your first course. Log into Canvas and access the Orientation Course 30 days prior to the start of the term. Your fellow SPS students have recommended blocking off one hour on your calendar to complete the course. Remember, before you attempt to access any Canvas course, you must have your Wake Forest University Google Mail account activated.
A student favorite event! We offer virtual opportunities to meet your Academic Director and your classmates prior to the start of classes. This is also a chance for you to meet other Wake Forest SPS students, faculty, and staff. Details are sent to your WFU email account, so be on the lookout for the invitation and save the date to attend a session.
When you login to Canvas, you’ll see another course called The Pearl Cafe. This is your one-stop resource center with academic, wellbeing, and career/professional development information. Other administrative information (links to the bookstore, forms, and the student handbook) is also found in this course.
You’ll gain access to your course(s) one week prior to the start of each mini session. Be sure to log in, review the syllabus, and obtain the necessary books/course materials. Mark your calendars for weekly synchronous sessions and important assignment due dates. Your Student Success Manager will also share this information with you.
