Kristie Foley, Ph.D., MS

Dr. Kristie Foley studies how to implement and sustain best and promising practices in primary and oncology care to reduce cancer disparities. Her research has been highlighted in the Tobacco Atlas and the Fogarty International Center’s Global Health Matters as a model for translating science into practice and policy to address the global burden of tobacco-induced diseases. She is MPI of the following active grants:

Dr. Foley partners with scientists, practitioners, and community stakeholders to implement and sustain evidence-based cancer prevention and control strategies locally and globally. She is a former Fulbright Scholar and Specialist to Hungary (2007) and Romania (2018), respectively. She was awarded the Wake Forest School of Medicine Mentoring Award (2019) and has been named a 2020-21 Executive Leadership in Academic Medicine (ELAM) Fellow. Her greatest professional joy is to build teams to transform practice and policy to improve public health.
