Terry Williams, DrPH, MBA, Grad Dip Econ, most recently is Vice Chief Academic Officer – Transformative Solutions & SVP Innovations for Advocate Health and the Wake Forest School of Medicine, an organization with 70 hospitals and 1000+ ambulatory locations. In this role he cultivates and guides scaling of initiatives and new ventures between the Academic Enterprise and industry partners. Terry also serves as COO of the Regenerative Medicine Development Organization that works with over 90 industry companies in Innovation Quarter and is associated with the world-renowned Wake Forest Institute of Regenerative Medicine (WFIRM). Prior to this, Terry was SVP, Chief Population Health Officer – Strategy & Partnerships for Advocate Health, which includes 2.3 million patient lives with 13,000 physicians in twelve (12) ACOs/CINs across 7 states.
Dr. Williams has been a Chief Strategy Officer in health care organizations for 12 years. He has been board member of a joint venture with Best Buy Health and a member of the National Academy of Science Population Health Roundtable. He is board member of several entities responsible for community development and multi-industry partnerships. Earlier in his career, Terry worked on the National Transformation Programme for the Jamaican Primer Minister’s Office.
Williams completed a doctorate in Health Leadership from the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health and speaks about techniques to drive transformative change. Terry has an MBA from Emory’s Goizueta Business School and a graduate diploma in Economics from University of East Anglia in England. For the latter degree, Terry was awarded a Rotary International Scholarship to England in a program with government officials from 15 countries. He is happily married to Christie and has two sons.
