Rhonda is a distinguished leader with extensive experience in strategic project, program, and portfolio management, spanning over 30 years. Her career is marked by adept management of organizational change and the cultivation of high-performing teams. Currently, she is employed at Cencora, a global pharmaceutical organization, where she serves as a Project Manager on the IT PPMO Governance Team. In this role, Rhonda acts as the product manager/product owner for Cencora’s SDLC Framework, mentoring and coaching project/program managers and scrum masters on PMO processes and alignment with their ways of working. 

Rhonda holds several impressive certifications, including PMP, CBAP, CSM, COBIT 5, ITIL V3, and Six Sigma Orange, Yellow, and White Belts as well as several PMI-Micro credentials. Her expertise extends beyond her corporate role, as she is also a solo entrepreneur collaborating with individuals, teams, and organizations to develop organizational roadmaps and career pathways through personal branding. Her leadership in healthcare as a PMO leader involved managing project and program portfolios and developing high-performing teams.

In addition to her professional achievements, Rhonda is actively involved in the Project Management Institute (PMI) community. She currently serves as Region Mentor for Region 5, which encompasses 13 chapters, including PMI Carolina. Her previous roles include President of PMI Carolina, where she established the DEI Committee, SoundBytes Podcast, and rebranded the chapter. As VP of Programs, she managed programs during the challenging COVID outbreak year. Rhonda has also served in various other roles, including Programs Director (for East, West, Central and North regions) and Programs Chair of the Charlotte Community. A volunteer with PMI since 2016 and a PMI Global Member since 2005.

Rhonda is serving her third year on the Wake Forest Professional Studies, Program Advisory Board (PAB) for Project Management, helping to shape the curriculum and mentor students. She has also impacted other volunteer roles for non-profits, such as Change Agent for Apparo, Board Member for Parkinson’s Association of the Carolinas, and Mentor at Faith, Love and Hope.

Her academic background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Organizational Management, and she has participated in the Executive Coaching Program at McColl School of Business at Queens University of Charlotte.

Originating from Miami Beach, Florida, Rhonda enjoys travel and exploration, often kayaking down the Catawba River on weekends.
