PMP Certification Preparation Course

The “PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification Preparation” course is designed to prepare students for the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification exam. This course is ideal for experienced project managers who aim to validate their skills and knowledge in project management, as defined by the PMBOK® Guide. The course covers a comprehensive range of project management concepts, methodologies, and best practices, ensuring that students are well-prepared to excel in the PMP certification exam and in their professional roles.

As an Authorized Training Provider (ATP), Wake Forest University partners with Project Management Institute (PMI) to deliver the highest quality certification preparation. This course is offered synchronously [online] due to requirements from PMI.

Participants who successfully complete the PMP Certification Prep Course will receive a Certificate of Completion from Wake Forest University, School of Professional Studies.

Who should attend?

Participants eligible to sit for the PMP exam according to Project Management Institutes (PMI) requirements. Please visit the PMI website for eligibility requirements.

This course fulfills the 35 hours of project management education/training requirement through an Instructor-Led PMP® course.

Schedule

The PMP Exam Prep Course will be offered in nine live sessions combined with asynchronous work over the course of eight weeks.

  2. Session 2: Sept 6, 2025, 9am-4pm EST
  3. Session 3: Sept 10, 2025, 6pm-9pm EST
  4. Session 4: Sept 17, 2025, 6pm-9pm EST
  5. Session 5: Sept 24, 2025, 6pm-9pm EST
  6. Session 6: Oct 1, 2025, 6pm-9pm EST
  7. Session 7: Oct 8, 2025, 6pm-9pm EST
  8. Session 8: Oct 15, 2025, 6pm-9pm ES
  9. Session 9: Oct 18, 2025, 9am-4pm EST

Attendance Policy: PMI requires 35 (synchronous) contact hours of project management education to sit for the PMP exam. To receive course credit participants must attend and complete all coursework. Prior to registering please verify that you are available for all listed dates and times.

Taking the PMP Exam

The PMP exam is managed by the Project Management Institute and is not included in the course. The current cost is $425 for PMI members and $675 for non-members. Students will be responsible for registering to sit for the exam on their own after completion of the prep course.

  • Wake Forest is not responsible for PMP Prep Reviews and approval.
  • Wake Forest does not guarantee a PMP Exam pass.
Refund & Cancellation Policies

Program Cancellation

This course is offered contingent upon sufficient enrollment. If a course must be canceled, all registered participants will be notified at least (5) calendar days before the course’s start date. All registered participants will receive a 100% tuition refund. No fees will be charged for canceled courses.

Individual Cancellation – Refund Policy

Prospective participants who withdraw at least 14 days prior to the start of a course will receive a full refund of tuition paid. Please note that the $178 materials fee is non-refundable upon payment.
