Wake360 Recap from Student Ambassador Kevin Cook

As we gear up for the Wake360 at the end of the month, I began to reflect on last year’s event and wanted to share a few highlights from the event that made a lasting impact on me.

1. Welcoming Environment Wake Forest's Demon Deacon mascot in front of the Charlotte campus

I truly felt embraced by the Wake family, and my experience at Wake360 strengthened my sense of belonging within the community. I felt like an official Deacon!

2. Networking & Community

I had the opportunity to meet fellow students, professors, and Wake administrative staff. The meaningful conversations and connections I made will continue to grow well beyond my time as a student.

3. Faculty Connections

I was able to engage with professors I had already studied with, as well as those who will be teaching me in the future, all of whom offered valuable guidance and encouragement to support my academic and professional growth.

4. Inspiring Speakers

The event featured excellent speakers—charismatic industry leaders who spoke from both experience and knowledge. I left with a full page of memorable quotes and insights from the speaker panel.

5. Engaging Conversations

The event also provided great food and a welcoming atmosphere, creating the perfect setting to connect with guest speakers and advisory board members on a more personal level.

Overall, Wake360 enabled a whole new dimension for my master’s degree experience, enriching not only my academic journey but also my professional and personal growth as part of the Wake community. If I could offer any advice to current or future SPS students, it would be to attend Wake360—you will not regret it!
